This role is responsible for proactively partnering with the financial operations leadership team, finance transformation leadership team and commercial transformation leadership teams to provide insightful analysis, challenge, and influence to drive decisions and actions on our SAP programme. You will act as business process owner for financial operations embedding themselves in our current processes and controls as we work to develop the next generation of technology assets. You'll also set the direction and team and provide strategic challenge to the Finance and Commercial Transformation programmes.

* Act as a key partner to the Finance Operations and Transformation Leadership teams ensuring all requirements and processes are clearly articulated and documented in line with programme and corporate governance.
* Regular participation in all aspects of project management and governance, issues and decisions as well as influencing and steering the programme agenda.
* With your team and stakeholders, support the identification of issues, risks and opportunities. Take the lead in prioritising these and work with the various PMO teams to manage them and escalate as appropriate.
* Provide the business with an external perspective, defining the benchmark requirements and using outputs to challenge and influence.
* Provide leadership both with your team and across Finance in your location, driving the re-set required in line with the operating model and capturing all future reporting and data requirements for the Finance Operations team.
* Be an active collator and recipient of requirements for accounting and reporting tools, processes and data requirements for relevant projects and small changes.
* Ensure all programme documentation is completed diligently and thoroughly to an auditable standard and enable complete transparency at programme level and efficient onward reporting to SteerCo.
* Own the design of financial operations reporting for our transition and end, ensuring it is fit for purpose and streamlined.
* Work with our tech and data teams to design the transition and end states for financial operations ensuring that technical and analytical resource is used effectively, and business priorities and resource allocation are well understood and aligned.
* Work with our change teams to describe the change impacts and provide training materials for senior teams and end users.
More about you
* Professionally Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Previous experience of Finance Systems based project work is essential.
* Good understanding of relational data SQL ERP systems.
* Experience of maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with accounting policy.
* Strong commercial acumen with a clear focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance.
* An inspiring leader, supporting colleagues to build successful careers.
* Effective communicator and challenger with stakeholders up to and including board level, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen.
* Proven track record of managing stakeholder relationships and influencing senior decision makers.
* Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously.
* Proven history of effective prioritisation and ability to push back when appropriate.
* Committed to driving change and comfortable with managing any associated conflicts.
