Job title: Data and Insights Manager
Location: Hybrid / London (minimum 4 days per month in the office)
Are you a Data and Insights Manager ready for a new challenge?
Allen Lane is working with a London-based public sector organisation as they seek their next Data and Insights Manager, where you will lead the implementation and oversight of analytical monitoring strategies.
You will be an expert in applying data analysis techniques, leveraging Microsoft SQL programming to extract, manipulate, and evaluate data from a range of relational databases, and developing dashboards and reports using platforms such as Power BI.
You will also develop and oversee comprehensive data and intelligence monitoring strategies, including seeking to incorporate new sources of data and intelligence. You will play a crucial role in supporting an organisational shift towards being more data and risk-focused, advocating the importance of advanced risk analysts and intelligence across the organisation.
Adaptable communication skills will be required to clearly and concisely explain data and intelligence assessments to a range of stakeholders. You will also be expected to deputise for the Head of Regulatory Risk and Insight where needed.
Applicants must demonstrate their experience against the following criteria:
* Experience with data, statistical analysis and/or intelligence work.
* Experience in collating, summarising and presenting complex information to different audiences.
* Experience in gathering user requirements for analytical work.
* Expertise in data manipulation and analysis.
* Proficiency in the use of SQL and the use of data warehouse platforms.
* Proficiency in analytics platforms, such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
* Experience in team leadership and management.
* Exposure to the use of data manipulation and analysis languages (e.g. Python, R).
