The job holder has responsibility for the smooth operation of our Cocktail Bar, Function Bar, and outdoor Terraces. Reporting to the F&B Manager, your main duties include:
* Managing a Permanent & Casual team of 6+ bar staff
* Completing monthly beverage stocktake and weekly ordering sheet
* Ensuring personal presentation of staff, both in terms of uniform and personal presentation/hygiene
* Ensuring the bar is opened and closed according to SOPs
* Creating and developing seasonal cocktail & beverage menus
* Achievement of Mystery Guest & AA Standards for the department
* Leading by example in achieving and implementing hotel key standards
* Presentation of front and back of house areas cleanliness/layup to SOP standard
* Ensuring effective induction and training plans of all new starters
* Training, coaching, and mentoring the bar team to ensure excellent performance and motivation of the team at all times
* Ensuring the team is briefed daily for any special service requirements, promotions, and issues
* Liaising with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to develop and improve bar service offering to guests and visitors
Requirements:
* 45 hours per week, various shifts over 5 days including weekends
* Smart appearance and the passion and confidence to lead the team
* Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
* Ability to host with a warm and welcoming personality
* Supervisory/management experience within a quality bar operation, ideally within a 4-star/5-star rated Hotel preferred
* Ability to manage and motivate the team
* Must have your own transport due to semi-rural location
