An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the expanded Greater Manchester Targeted Lung Health Check programme. This award-winning programme delivers lung cancer screening to people aged between 55 and 74 years old, who have ever smoked in their lifetimes, from mobile clinics in the community. This post will be mainly based in Wythenshawe Hospital in the Screening Hub - with occasional work on the mobile screening units if required Travel payments will be made for any travel completed above home to base mileage. Ability to provide health promotion and smoking cessation advice. Formulation of individualised care pathways with the patient and the carer. Possess a working knowledge of respiratory equipment. For example: inhalers, spirometers and compressors. Knowledge of the lone working policy. Awareness of policies and procedures for MFT and community services in relation to working practices. Ensure contemporary patient centre patient information is available for patients and carers. Engage in audit and/or information collection.
