Hays Education are currently supporting a Dudley based SEN school looking to appoint a School Business Manager. The role is tomence ASAP. There is an opportunity for temporary to permanent for the right individual. The role will be Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
Your new role
Working closely with the head teacher you will have responsibility for the finance, H&S and HR operations within the school.
You will be responsible for ensuring that:
1. Best value is obtained for all services engaged and purchases made within school
2. the administration and site teams work smoothly and efficiently
3. Annual budgets are adhered to, and applications are made for available grants to provide additional external funding where possible.
4. Provide regular reports for the head anderning body for the school.
5. Line management for Admin, site, and catering staff.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have:
6. Excellent organisation andmunications skills
7. Demonstrate high standards and expectations of themselves and direct reports
8. Experience and skills in financial management, including budgetary planning, control, and auditing
9. A high level of IT literacy
10. Experience with SIMS/ FMS / Voyager
11. Experience of HR management – Absence, probation etc
12. Experience with Facilities management.
13. Experience with Special school budget setting
