There are 2 homes based in IP7, and due to limited/no public transport, staff would need to be a driver or transport needs to be arranged accordingly for picking up night shifts.
Below requirements are MUST for the staff to be selected for the shifts:
1. Must be a female aged over 21 (ideally over 25).
2. Mandatory training PLUS must be trained in safeguarding, first aid, medication, food hygiene, and fire safety as a minimum.
3. Be working towards or have achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Children's Homes, or equivalent as stated in Ofsted children's homes quality standards.
4. Be confident in working alone in a challenging environment (working with females aged between 11-17 that have emotional and behavioural needs).
5. Preferably trained in Team Teach de-escalation and physical intervention - young people are extremely challenging.
Working hours are 22.00 - 08.00. Casual attire is required. Night duties will include tidying and maintaining the home/prep for the next day.
Staff must be experienced in children's services and challenging behaviour.
Compliance and training will be in line with OFSTED regulations. As part of this, a safer recruitment check will need to be done by the agency.
