Compass Associates are proud to be working with one of the leading providers of children’s specialist education services, to recruit a Clinical Lead for one of their Northwest schools.
The role is based at a specialist secondary school in Chorley, for young people aged 10-18, who have autism and additional learning needs. This may include sensory processing disorders, communication difficulties and SEMH needs, as well as those requiring support around emotional regulation. Class sizes are kept small, to allow personalised support, and all teaching staff undergo intensive therapeutic training.
Although not holding a caseload, you will provide consultations and support for the children with the most complex needs, as well as supervision and advise to the school’s Therapy Team which includes an Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist and Psychotherapist. As Clinical Lead, you will be part of the school’s senior leadership team and work closely with the Locality Clinical Lead and Executive Head to help shape, develop and grow the school’s therapeutic provision.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Occupational Therapist or Speech & Language Therapist who has experience working with children within a specialist school/residential setting, has leadership experience and is looking for the next step in their career.

Candidate
The successful candidate must have:
* A degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech & Language Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Experience leading, supervising and managing a multidisciplinary team/junior colleagues
* Experience working with children with SEMH needs, autism and neurodiversity
