As Managing Director of this £35M t/o business, you will be at the forefront of the strategic and operational success. Reporting directly to the Board, you will be responsible for shaping the future of the business, building upon its established foundations, and taking them through the next phase of development. This is a pivotal role requiring a commercially astute professional used to working within a high volume (low margin) sales environment with the ability to balance financial oversight and operational efficiency. You will lead a skilled team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture, and function as an ambassador for the business with clients and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: Strategic leadership with a continued training and mentoring approach to developing high performing teams and culture Development and implementation of business strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability Full P&L responsibility managing budgets and identify opportunities for investment and cost optimisation Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and compliance Inspire, engage and foster a culture of innovation and accountability Represent the company with passion and authenticity, building strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders to drive revenue Step into operational challenges as needed, demonstrating a willingness to engage at all levels Parkinson Lee Executive Search are keen to speak with people that have the following skills and experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a Board Director level role preferably within gained within a B2B, consumer led, retail, distribution, wholesale and resale environment Proven experience of growing a company and improving their financial and operation performance over a sustained period of 4 years Experience of using data to form growth strategies when analysing product performance, taking new products to market and developing new business concepts for ‘white label' product Educated to Degree calibre in either business, managing or finance Strong understanding of financial management and the ability to interpret complex data Proven success in managing people and creating positive, inclusive cultures in the workplace Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire trust and confidence in clients, colleagues, and stakeholders Hands on approach and willingness to engage directly with day-to-day challenges A passion for driving excellence and a culture of continuous improvement This is an excellent opportunity and will suit a dynamic leader, with a proven history in commercial, financial and operational excellence that might be looking for their first role as Managing Director.
