About the Role
We are looking for a qualified social worker who has a working knowledge of child exploitation. This job is an exciting opportunity to work in the Leicestershire Children’s and Families Services Child Exploitation Team and work alongside Leicestershire Police Specialist teams to protect and help young people at risk of exploitation, or who have been exploited
To work in partnership with other agencies to ensure an effective multi-agency response to prevention and protection of children at risk of CE, trafficking or going missing from home, care or education, and the identification and disruption of CE and prosecution of perpetrators where is is possible
To deliver high quality social work services and contribute to the development of the service to vulnerable children and their families.
To enable the local authority to achieve improvement outcomes for children and young people and families, working in line with the LSCB and CSC procedures
To protect and support children and young people at risk of CE and those known to be victims of CSE and do so in partnership with parents and carers where this is appropriate
To chair and/or participate in and represent the CE Team in child protection conferences, CE strategy meetings, court and other meetings as required
The nature of work may involve the job holder carrying out work outside of normal working hours
To attain and maintain Management Vetting & Security Check Clearance within Leicestershire Police
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must:
1. Qualified social worker
2. Social Work England Registered
3. Experience and knowledge of child exploitation
4. Experience of working in a multi-agency setting and build and maintain positive working relationships
5. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in being child/young person centred, and trauma informed
6. Evidence of working within a fluid and challenging environment with the flexibility to meet the needs of the children and young people that we support.
7. To model good social work practice including that of accountability for high quality service delivery, personal development, and efficient use of resources, including the ability to deliver training/workshops etc to a range of professionals
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
In addition, we also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
