Job Title: Part Time Finance Assistant
Salary: £11,559.60 (£22,477 full time equivalent)
Hours: 18 hours per week (flexible over 3 days)
Location: Solihull
Duration: 12 month permanent contract
Description:
A well-established and successful charity is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to assist the Finance Officer and Finance Manager with bookkeeping and administrative duties including inputting onto Sage of invoices, receipts, payments, petty cash, and journals on a part-time basis.
Additional duties include maintaining timesheets, staff sickness, and holiday records. The role would ideally suit an enthusiastic, flexible, and organized individual wanting to provide valuable support to this important local charity.
Key Duties:
1. Input receipts, payments, purchase invoices, and journals onto Sage
2. Maintain and review staff timesheets
3. Maintain staff sickness and holiday entitlement records
4. Check and analyze shop daily/weekly returns
5. Prepare staff and volunteer expenses for payment
6. Analyze petty cash expenditure and input onto Sage
7. Bank payments received
8. Undertake such other duties as the organization may reasonably require
Key Skills/Experience Required:
1. Sage 50 experience is preferred but training will be given
2. Previous experience within a similar role
3. Evidence of training undertaken in bookkeeping or accounting
4. Honest, trustworthy, and respectful of confidentiality
5. Accurate and attentive to detail
6. Confident in communicating with colleagues and third parties
7. Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word, OneDrive, Gmail, or similar
8. Ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines
9. Ability to work as part of a team
10. Some flexibility of working hours at certain times of year to meet deadlines
