Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham, Plaistow
Salary Range: £95 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

GSL Education are delighted to offer an opportunity for a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision class in a fantastic school in Newham, Plaistow.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
Provide 1:1 and group support to students with diverse SEN needs.
Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
Work alongside teachers and SEN specialists to deliver tailored learning activities.
Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
Previous experience in SEN or behavioural support.
Ability to support children with high-level needs.
Resilient, patient, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Good spoken and written English.
Passion for helping students overcome challenges and succeed.
A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
