Due to maternity leave, we are looking to recruit a Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to work as part of the Thrive Staff Support Service. This post would be suited to a newly or recently qualified Practitioner Psychologist or an experienced Psychological Therapist who has an interest in supporting NHS staff to manage their mental health and wellbeing.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the innovative and respected Thrive in-house staff support service for Sunderland and South Tyneside. You will form part of a team of psychologists and counsellors to continue to develop and provide preventative and responsive 1:1 and group support for staff.
As a Band 7 practitioner, you will be provided with line management and one-to-one clinical supervision by an experienced and senior psychologist within the department and have access to CPD and the support of the wider department. As part of the Thrive team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of exciting new initiatives to support staff wellbeing, and because of this, there are also opportunities for research and service evaluations.
This unique role provides the opportunity to work closely with other key stakeholders involved in caring for the wellbeing of staff, including Occupational Health, Health and Wellbeing, and HR.
Main duties of the job
This role is well suited to someone who has an interest in working within a staff support service and working systemically with other key stakeholders across the organisation.

The post holder may have previous experiences of working within a staff support service or with healthcare professionals, but this is not essential.
There is flexibility with work patterns, including part-time work and condensed hours.
