About This New Role:
This is a new role to join an expanding Sales and Business Development Team. As a Sales Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the sales growth and strategy of our company. You will be responsible for managing and nurturing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working with the Merchandising, Design and Technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of our products to UK brands and retailers. Your focus will be on maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, setting and meeting sales targets, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
Regularly communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
In conjunction with the department Director and other members of the Sales Team, develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets.
Present our product offerings to prospective clients, showcasing the benefits and unique selling points of our designs.
Attend customer meetings face to face and online with Designers to present ranges and trends.
Contribute to marketing ideas and campaigns on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and others to promote the capabilities of the business.
Order Management and Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams (design, merchandising, technical) to ensure timely and accurate delivery to clients.
Manage full costing process with overseas factories, negotiating to manage customer and own margin expectations.
Monitor production schedules with UK Merchandising team and Overseas teams and resolve any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the management team.
Use insights gained from market analysis to refine sales strategies and improve product offerings.
Customer Service:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support, attending fit sessions with garment techs and critical path meetings with merchandisers.
Address any post-sale issues or complaints, working to find effective solutions promptly.
Gather client feedback and communicate it to the design and production teams for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sales Account Manager or in a similar sales role, preferably within the fashion or apparel industry.
Strong understanding of the lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear market.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events in the UK and abroad.
Experience working with UK brands and retailers.
Knowledge of the production processes and logistics involved in manufacturing in China and the Far East.
