RESPONSIBLE FOR: Ensuring the delivery of safe, caring, effective and responsive therapeutic treatment to people suffering from addiction and related issues, ensuring their safe emotional wellbeing, through robust risk assessment, treatment, and aftercare planning.
PURPOSE OF JOB: To listen to our people and design creative, mindful and intuitive therapy to meet their needs, inspiring them to believe that they can be the person they want to be - that they can recover from their addiction and go on to live happy, healthy, and successful lives.
LOCATION: TLC Rehab, London, N12 9PN
Contract: 4 days per week. Weekend availability required.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. To liaise closely and cooperate fully with the Registered Manager and other staff to ensure the safe delivery of care to clients.
2. To maintain excellent standards in all aspects of service delivery, seeking high levels of satisfaction expressed by all stakeholders in the company.
3. To be responsible for the risk assessment, planning and ongoing review of each client’s therapeutic care, ensuring that the client is as emotionally well as they can be (based on their clinical diagnosis), empowering people to take responsibility for the better management of their emotional health in the future.
4. To facilitate daily groupwork and 1-2-1 therapy sessions to clients, as required.
5. To ensure that effective pre-admission, admission, and discharge procedures are followed.
6. To ensure that effective and appropriate communication is maintained about client care with all relevant internal and external stakeholders, including family members and professionals. This will involve active participation in daily handovers, client care review meetings, and team meetings.
7. Ensure that all incidents are promptly reported, recorded, and shared with the Registered Manager.
8. To ensure that all clients and their children are protected from abuse, and to report any safeguarding concerns to the Registered Manager/ SMT.
9. To participate in the auditing and monitoring of therapeutic care, suggesting ideas for service improvement with the team, driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
10. To identify opportunities for development and improved ways of working; collaborating with staff, families, and clients to adjust service delivery where required.
11. To maintain overall responsibility for up-to-date client records.
12. To ensure that legislation and best practice concerning therapeutic care is complied with, and to advise the Registered Manager/ SMT where urgent action is required.
KNOWLEDGE BASE: To carry out any role in this setting, you must have a good working understanding of, and keep abreast of changes to: key legislation and good practice guidelines, how it impacts our work and how you will ensure that the service will meet and where possible, exceed standards contained within the guidelines. REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience working in a rehab or addiction treatment centre.
* Understanding of the connection between trauma and addiction.
