Engineering Project Manager – Infrastructure
Location: Oxford (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 Months | Full-Time | Monday to Friday
Salary: £50-£60 ph - | Mileage reimbursed from base
We are urgently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects in the Oxford area. This is a full-time role with hybrid working options. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as occasional site visits will be required (mileage reimbursed).
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of large, complex transport infrastructure projects
* Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, either directly or through matrix management
* Oversee the use of NEC4 contracts and procurement frameworks
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget
* Engage proactively with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers
Essential Requirements:
* Substantial experience in infrastructure project management (new transport infrastructure preferred)
* Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering projects
* Chartered status or equivalent (e.g., CEng or PMP)
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Experience working within NEC4 contracts and public procurement frameworks
Desirable:
* Background in new build transport infrastructure (not just highways maintenance)
* Familiarity with local authority or public sector project environments
