80447 - Quality Engineer
This Quality Engineer will report to the Quality and Assurance Manager and will work within Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality with UKPN Services based in our Heathrow/Central London Area office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £51,245, plus car and a bonus of 3%.
We are looking for a candidate who has UK CDM (2015) construction environment experience with Quality Assurance.

Job Purpose:
You will provide competent quality management advice to promote compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 in the review, audit, certification, induction and management of procedures and processes in electrical infrastructure construction projects.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Provide Quality Management advice about ISO 9001: 2015 to other advisors, managers, employees, contractors and clients, both in the tendering and construction phases.
* Contribute to the review of existing and the development of new procedures/processes.
* Monitor compliance with ISO 9001: 2015, procedures, legal and moral obligations, and national, international and client standards.
* Assist and offer guidance to Project Managers in reviewing quality related project documents and requirements.
* Provide a monitoring function to ensure that suppliers, subcontractors and the services they provide exceed our quality management system expectations.
* Monitor site certification of materials and equipment, including tool calibration, to ensure compliance with client and project requirements.
* Facilitate third-party audits of UK Power Networks Services by external certification bodies.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
* HNC (minimum requirement) qualification in a discipline such as Quality Management, Construction, Project Management or Technical/Engineering or equivalent.
* As a minimum be a Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute with an aspiration to gain Chartered status.
* Have quality management system experience (not QC/inspection) gained in the construction industry.
* Have demonstrable experience working UK CDM regulations (2015).
* Be a trained QMS Auditor/Internal QMS Auditor with experience in auditing to ISO 9001: 2015.
* Have experience of root cause analysis.
* Attain several client access passes and licenses that may be required to work within UK industries.
* Hold a valid UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* Flexible in your approach to work and prioritise as directed.
* Audit to ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 requirements would be desirable.
* Knowledge of various ISO standards would be advantageous.
* Be a team player.
* Have excellent communication, presentation, planning and decision making skills at all seniority levels.
* Can work with IT software packages such as Microsoft office.
