An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band (Deputy Manager) within the new Health Protection Service (HPS)
The newly created HPS will work in partnership, to respond to health protection measures and threats as required. It is envisaged that the HPS will evolve over the year and the post holder will work, either at their designated work base or as part of an agile, patient-facing, outreach team at any location within North Wales.
The Health Protection Team will work alongside the other agencies such as Public Health Wales to protect and improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for the people of North Wales.
The Deputy Manager will support the Team Manager and Clinical Service Manager in the clinical, operational management and staff development of the HPS.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, forward thinking experienced nurse with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Main duties of the job
Working as part of the Health Protection Service, the post holder will work, either at their designated workbase or as part of an agile, patient-facing, outreach team at any location within North Wales
The Deputy Manager will support the Team Manager and Clinical Service Manager in the operational management of the Health Protection service. The post holder will be responsible for providing and improving services to assure BCUHB that patients, carers and staff requirements are met and to ensure services are achieving targets set nationally and by BCUHB. In the absence of the Team Manager, will be responsible for the operational management of staff within the Health Protection Service to facilitate the delivery of excellent practice and standards of service. To support the Clinical Service Manager in the development of the service to meet demands.
Contribute to the education, development and line management of other staff members (registrants and non-registrants).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
