You will be working in a team to support key financial operations within the Corporate Directorate. Based in either Exeter or Barnstaple, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, contributing to the smooth running of financial systems, and supporting the broader finance team in achieving its goals. Job responsibilities
As a Divisional Management Accountant, you will be part of a team working under the Finance Directorate, supporting other Divisions in various accounting and financial tasks. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Updating the General Ledger to ensure accurate reporting.
2. Producing monthly financial reports, analysing and investigating variances.
3. Preparing expense, income and activity budgets as part of the annual planning cycle.
4. Using in depth specialist financial knowledge to respond appropriately to budget holders queries.
Your role will involve attending relevant budget meetings with budget holders and stakeholders within the Corporate Division.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and analytical skills, and be adept at handling multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

You will be based at either Newcourt House in Exeter or Devonshire House in Barnstaple (whichever you prefer) but may be required to travel between sites as needed. We work in a hybrid office environment with a minimum of two days in the office.
