The Best Connection are seeking to recruit Flat Bed Cat B Drivers to work with our client delivering engineering equipment across the UK. The depot is located in Jarrow, so all candidates must be able to get there to collect the vehicle and load.
The Role:
* Deliver engineering equipment to site, ensuring arrival by 08:30 AM
* Route planning and start time management to meet delivery deadlines
* Nationwide deliveries – possible overnight stays required (£25 night allowance)
* Responsible for securing loads using ratchets, load locks, and restraints
The Candidate:
* Valid Cat B UK driving licence (Max 6 points)
* Experience using ratchets is essential
* Load lock and restraint knowledge is essential
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Flexible for overnight stays when required
Hours of Work & Pay Rates:
* Monday to Friday shift pattern
* Start times will depend on the delivery location, but can be from 00:00am onwards
* £11.50 per hour (PAYE)
* £17.00 per hour for all hours after 39 hours per week
