Job Description
Place
Housing Repairs Manager
Waverley Court
Salary: £44,257 - £52,373
Hours: 36 per week
The City of Edinburgh Council has declared a Housing Emergency and wants to ensure everyone has a secure, safe, warm place to call home, with access to services and a culture that supports individuals and communities to thrive.
Following a review of our delivery structure, we are looking for an exceptional individual to deliver a high-quality, front-line operational repair service to local residents. You will lead from the front to drive performance and embed a customer-focused culture within the service which has the needs of our tenants at its heart. You will contribute and champion service development and continuous improvement with your team and support their learning and development to help them be at their best.
If you are someone who enjoys new opportunities and has strong leadership skills demonstrating our behaviours - respect, integrity, and flexibility - as well as extensive experience of creating a high performing culture, driving change, and service delivery, we would love to hear from you.
If you have any questions or want to know more about the role, please contact us.
As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to ensure that we're bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.
To help achieve this, we're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity, and Flexibility into your ways of working.
We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included, and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.
You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
