We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity on our IT Infrastructure team. As we continue our IT transformation journey towards cloud based solutions, we are looking to bring in a Network Specialist who will be able to bring their experience to the role and support the business on this journey. The Role This role will involve supporting, managing, monitoring and evolving the systems, services, solutions and infrastructure provided by the department. The successful individual will specialise in networking ensuring the infrastructure runs smoothly, securely and efficiently to support the organisations goals and objectives. Responsibilities include Design and deploy network solutions including LANs, WANs, WLAN and SD-WAN Solutions both on premise and within cloud infrastructure. Troubleshooting network issues and performing regular maintenance and upgrades. Configure network security measures, including setting up firewalls, VPNs, policy-based routing and zero trust network security principles. Documenting network set-ups, operational procedures and troubleshooting guides. Managing the capacity and performance of the infrastructure in line with business demands and raising proposals for improvement. Acting as a technical escalation point within the IT department and providing support for the client/server network infrastructure, voice, video and cloud services. Providing where necessary out of hours support of the IT systems. Person Specification It is necessary in this role to have advanced knowledge of network configuration and protocols alongside strong experience designing and managing branch office connectivity using VPNs, MPLs pr SD-WAN solutions. This would involve a minimum of 3 years in a network infrastructure role, ideally within Financial Services. Knowledge of Azure Virtual Network (VNet) design is required as well as networking access control (NAC) and zero trust.
