Salary: Grade 5 - Starts at £27,789 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £29,874 per annum
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon and Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

Are you an organised individual who is customer focused and a strong team player? If so, we would like you to be a part of our Firearms Licensing Team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Firearms Enquiry Officers to join our team as a result of growth in the department. You will play a pivotal role in the support of effective control of firearms and ammunition to ensure public safety and compliance with legislation.
This is not purely an administrative position, you will undertake visits to applicants’ premises to consider security as well as suitability reviews of applicants, providing recommendations regarding risk. As well as dealing with the public, you will work closely with police colleagues within the organisation.
No experience of Firearms Licensing is required as full training will be provided.

Selection Stage:
