Job Title: Property GIS Officer Starting Salary: £26,835 opportunity to progress to £30,060 pa Hours: 37.0 Location: Stevenage Contract Type: Permanent/Hybrid Directorate: Resources About the team Corporate Performance & Transformation provides insight to stakeholders across HCC. Our vision is to drive data-driven decisioning across the council. A unique and interesting opportunity has arisen within our team to support the production of maps and plans for the Property department, to aid decisions relating to property development, site expansion and other estates related work. The role will report to the GIS Technical Officer and the post holder will work closely with colleagues in property & education to ensure that they have the most accurate & insightful plans available so that our estate, especially our schools, are safe, efficient & effective About the role To assist the GIS Technical Officer in the development of the following types of maps and plans: Site Plans Lease Plans Asset Plans School Net Capacity Plans School External Area Capacity Plans Floor Plans A typical day doing this role would include: Supporting the GIS Technical Officer to liaise with Property colleagues to clarify their requirements regards mapping various options for a school expansion. Carrying out specific tasks and activities to support GIS map /plan development as required Responding to ad-hoc queries received from services Participate in team & stakeholder meetings to stay informed about overall team projects & support completion of team objectives / goals. Entering building and room data into the Corporate Property Database, in line with changes made on the Asset & Land Plans About you Essential: Experience of using GIS (Cadcorp) Experience with (or willingness to learn) CAD (AutoDesk) Experience handling and manipulating data in Concerto (Property Asset Management System) Experience in supporting with the resolution of GIS spatial queries. Be organised and willing to work as part of a team Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to learn / participate as part of a team.
