Job summary We have an exciting opportunity within our new and recently opening Aseptics Unit for a full time Senior Pharmacy Assistant to support the growth of the department. You will work as part of a team, within the Aseptic department, providing a high quality, flexible and responsive service. You will aseptically prepare injections ready for patient administration, including chemotherapy (cytotoxic), radiopharmaceuticals and general intravenous drugs. Previous experience of working in a cleanroom environment is desirable, but not essential. We are committed to provide a supportive environment with opportunities for training and personal development. In the future there is a possibility for a Science Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship to enhance career progress. Consideration will be given for strong candidates who may not meet the essential criteria to undertake this role on a developmental basis with set competency targets. Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day workload within the Aseptic Unit. Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment supporting the manufacturing process and to assist senior staff in demonstrating particular duties to junior and rotational staff.
