Department Information:
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Business Studies for a suitably qualified candidate. The successful candidate will teach Business to GCSE and potentially/ideally Business and/or Economics to A-level. The ability to teach Maths would also be desirable.
The Business and Economics department has four experienced specialist teachers who are passionate about Business and Economics. Our lessons are challenging and varied, with high standards of teaching and learning, and we support each other, sharing ideas and resources.
Our Business and Economics department is one of the most popular and successful in the school, with high demand at both GCSE and A level. Public exam results continue to improve, reflecting the hard work and commitment of our dedicated team. Business is offered as an option at GCSE, and both Business and Economics are available at A level.
Consideration will be given to both experienced teachers and ECT’s who wish to develop their teaching expertise in an outstanding school.

What Will You Bring To The Role?
* Suitably qualified – degree in relevant discipline plus teaching qualification.
* Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum related issues 11-19.
* Skilled classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate students in KS4 to KS5.
* ICT skills and an understanding of the potential for use of ICT for teaching and learning.
* Able and confident to contribute to development of schemes of work and teaching and learning materials.
* Energy and enthusiasm.
* Suitability to work with children.
