Overview
The successful candidate will work with other members of the Financial Systems team to support and maintain BAU tasks/processes and deliver finance technology projects in-house. They'll be able to develop and implement new, innovative, and efficient financial systems and reporting for the firm.
Responsibilities
* Devise new financial reporting methods to enable efficient and timely management reporting across the firm.
* Report from various sources including, but not limited to, Elite Enterprise, Aderant Expert/Expert Sierra, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Power BI.
* Carry out scheduled tasks and prepare routine reports where requested.
* Assist with month and year-end routines where requested.
* Suggest and make technical improvements or changes to make reporting quicker, more efficient, and easier to use.
* Review and accurately document financial system processes and procedures of the firm.
* Identify and implement improvements to business processes and procedures.
* Develop and provide training in respect of financial system processes and procedures.
* Attend team, project, or other meetings and make suitable recommendations when required.
* Assist within the team/department or undertake any other duties as reasonably required.
* Undertake any specific training when required and have a commitment to ongoing learning and self-development.
Essential & Desirable Criteria
* IT literate with excellent knowledge of Excel and T-SQL/SQL Server Management Studio.
* Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
* Able to work under pressure and prioritize accordingly to meet deadlines and reporting needs of the firm.
* A good telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively and liaise with staff across different departments and at all levels.
* Experience of working in a legal or other professional services environment.
* Experience of the following systems would be beneficial: Elite Enterprise, Aderant Expert/Expert Sierra, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Power BI.
