If interested in applying your skills within one of the largest insurers in the world, with excellent employee benefits, then we would love to hear from you We have an interesting and unique Senior Claims Adjuster role working with our Chubb Global Markets team in Glasgow. The role exists to manage a portfolio of claims for multiple lines of business including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation of policy liability, legal liability and quantum. You will also be responsible for peer reviews, coaching and training as well as technical referrals and supporting your team leader where appropriate. It will be advantageous if you have experience of handling Marine, Aviation, Property or Casualty Claims however we are also happy to consider candidates with experience gained in other areas of Claims. Key Responsibilities: Support in the day-to-day operation of the team. Support in the monitoring of the portfolios of the team and support the team leader in a fair allocation of work suitable to individual technical abilities. Provide technical, procedural and general guidance as may be required or direct individual to more appropriate resource if further in-depth technical support required. To develop and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts through providing timely and clear responses to correspondence received. To provide general assistance and support to claims adjusters, managers and underwriters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise. Focus on superior service delivery across all internal /external client groups and stakeholders. Building relationships across client and customer groups to enhance service and increase output levels. Clear and concise communication across team and wider client groups, act as the second point of contact for escalated issues. Liaise with the Team Leader to support in the internal liaising with the wider Glasgow claims team, and broader UKI Claims Department, senior claims management, underwriters and actuaries; externally with clients / brokers and 3rd party service providers. To support in the development and strengthening of the team by using the peer review process as well as providing mentoring, training and coaching where appropriate. This will entail acting as a technical resource and providing guidance on the claims assessment process. In so doing, working with the Team Leader in ensuring a high-quality claims team. Qualifications Preference for professionally qualified individuals - ACII, or progress towards. Previous experience in a Claims handling role, technical excellence.
