As a Subsea Test Centre Technician, you will be an integral part of our subsea and hydrodynamic testing facilities. This role supports both subsea and wave tank test operations, providing technical assistance in setting up and carrying out a range of tests on products manufactured within the Balmoral plant and recording results in accordance with company procedures.
Within some departments we operate a shift system; a shift allowance is paid while working on back and night shift, which increases the standard hourly rate by time +1/6 and time + 1/3. There is also the opportunity to work overtime during busy periods.
What will you do as a Test Technician?
1. Handling and slinging of products using O/H cranes, forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.
2. Operation of pressure vessels and hydraulic equipment
3. Operation of PCs for data logging and test reporting
4. Use of powered tools and hand tools
5. Basic Care Maintenance of Test Centre equipment
6. Filling in of Timesheets at the end of each shift (daily) with the correct works numbers and time spent on the job
7. Keeping your workplace clean and tidy and following the Area 5s guidelines
Other duties and responsibilities
1. Adhere to company Health and Safety Procedures, safe system of work instructions, risk assessments, and any other documentation controlling the task you are performing
2. Actively contribute to the Business SIFRI system to aid Safety improvements
3. Be prepared to work shift patterns as required to meet the delivery demands of products to our customers
4. Other special projects and “ad hoc” duties as assigned

1. B1 Forklift Licence
2. Mobile elevated working platform & Boom Lift Licence
