Job Title: Associate University Registrar (Internal Kent State Employees Only) Physical Location: Kent Campus - Kent, OH Salary: $66,705 - $70,000 Basic Function: Serve as an assistant to the University Registrar in providing management, administrative direction, coordination, and control of assigned functional activities including personnel, services and technological activities of the Office of the Registrar. May be delegated overall responsibility for specific functional area(s). Reports to the University Registrar. Additional Basic Function – if applicable: Not Applicable. Examples of Duties: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Assist in general administration of department to include establishment and implementation of policies and procedures, development of goals and objectives, personnel administration and development, and budgeting. Manage and direct delegated activities related to academic policy curriculum and standards or activities related to systems, compliance and reporting. Assist in administration of functional activities and services of the Office of the Registrar (i.e. registration and records services, preparation of reports, support services, etc.). Serve as liaison with academic units, administrative offices, and the eight campus University system regarding academic and University policies and procedures. Coordinate office actions relating to office and University policies and procedures based on guidelines and standards from federal and state agencies and professional organizations. Assume full responsibility of the Registrar in Registrar’s absence. Review retroactive requests for changes to academic records and take appropriate action. Serve on various university and external committees. Perform special assignments / projects as assigned. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in a registrar’s office or related area is required. License/Certification: None. Knowledge Of: Student information systems and budgeting Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to reporting and compliance Higher education institutional perspective Skill In: Written and interpersonal communication. Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software; including basic table structures and report writing tools Organizing information and projects Adhering to deadlines Ability To: Work independently and as part of a team Provide leadership and direction Multi-task while managing multiple projects and assignments Think strategically Preferred Qualifications – if applicable: Master's degree preferred.
