Job Opportunity: Biomedical Scientist - Band 6/7
The Biomedical Science team at Pulse are currently recruiting a Band 6-7 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Transfusion to work in Ashford. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service.
Position: Biomedical Scientist
Banding: 6/7
Location: Ashford
Hours: Full-time (9:00 to 17:30)
Duration: 3 months/ Ongoing
Key Responsibilities
As a Biomedical Scientist in haematology and blood transfusion you will be expected to:
1. Have excellent experience in using analysers for full blood counts (FBC) and for coagulation.
2. Maintain and troubleshoot the analysers alongside your usual duties in loading and operation.
3. Ensure that the correct blood type is received by the recipient.

Essential Requirements
* HCPC registered.
* Microtomy experience.
* UK NHS or private sector Haematology laboratory experience.
* Experience in coagulation, Blood film morphology, blood grouping, and antibody testing.
* Previous experience using Sysmex, Beckman Coulter Dxh, and/or BioRad IH-1000.
