About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our successful and dynamic Mathematics department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, inspiring a love for mathematics and enabling all students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
2. Use innovative teaching methods to make mathematics accessible and enjoyable for all students.
3. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
4. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and confidence.
5. Contribute to the development of schemes of work, assessments, and resources within the department.
6. Attend departmental and whole-school meetings, contributing to the wider school community.
7. Participate in extracurricular activities, including supporting mathematics clubs, competitions, or interventions.
8. Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress.
9. Uphold the school's behaviour policies, ensuring high expectations for conduct and effort.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
2. A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
3. Evidence of recent professional development is desirable.
