Job Title: Project Manager (12 month fixed term contract)
Location: Peterborough / Hybrid working

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to effectively facilitate the mobilisation and management of assigned projects that constitute the Core Technology Programme (CTP). You will work closely with sponsors and representatives across the ABF portfolio of supported businesses in the delivery of desired business outcomes to realise benefits.
Our Business Technology Services (BTS) team works across the major divisions of ABF, supporting our businesses through the provision of world-class infrastructure and delivery of new technologies to allow the businesses to thrive.
What you'll be doing:
1. Work closely with the Portfolio Delivery Manager in the efficient and effective delivery of CTP projects.
2. Manage assigned CTP projects through the lifecycle in accordance with agreed governance methodology and associated approval bodies.
3. Manage and co-ordinate project team(s) made up of technical & non-technical members, 3rd parties and business unit IT Teams, including the development and management of project plans, team meetings & steering committees as needed.
4. Focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organise and promote business change.
5. Manage project budgets within agreed tolerances and adhering to standard change control processes.
6. Work closely with BUs service delivery & local IT teams to improve user experience and minimise negative impact on remote sites.
7. Manage concurrent high visibility projects in a fast-paced environment across multiple ABF functions and businesses.
8. Prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
9. Apply adaptable governance using a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional Waterfall and Agile approaches in the right proportions.
What you'll bring:
1. Excellent stakeholder management, organisational skills & attention to detail.
2. Experience of managing project & programme budgets, some into the £m’s of pounds.
3. Experience of delivering Business Change & Technology Projects across geographically widespread businesses within a federated environment.
4. Experience of managing end users, ensuring required business readiness activities are well planned to ensure maximum end user adoption and satisfaction.
5. Understanding of project delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile and hybrid).
Location
This role can be worked remotely; however, our team is based in the Peterborough office, and there might be times you are required to attend an in-person meeting.
