Job Description:
Are you an experienced Hardware Engineer that would like to deliver the high performance digital hardware that forms part of our self-protection systems installed on fast jet, UAV, land and naval platforms?
What you will do
1. The successful (Principal/Lead) Hardware Engineer will work with the support of experts in their field, using world-class facilities to deliver electronic hardware for complex electronic systems that meet challenging future customer requirements.
2. The scope of work will involve technical problem solving along with hardware design and product development
Your role may even take you across the UK or abroad for technical reviews.
What we need from you
3. Mixed signal ADC/DAC, FPGA, SoC based design for high performance signal processing, communications and control. AC/DC Power Conversion.
4. Requirements definition, analysis, architecture development
5. PCB design, component engineering,
6. Design verification & qualification testing, test & debugging, production support.
7. VPX system design,
8. Experience of fast interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESDC,
9. Industry standard Design tools
10. A structured approach to electronic design,
11. Electronics test methods and equipment
12. You will have either a HNC/HND or Undergraduate Degree (Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Applied Physics) or you may just have lots of skills and experience gained through your hard work.
13. Due to the nature of our work, any candidate must have 5 years UK residency and be capable of achieving full SC security clearance with access to UK Eyes Only and ITAR export control information.
