Applus UK is seeking 2x motivated and organised Technical Clerks for a short-term contract at our site at Ellesmere Port. This role will run from 28th October to 17th January, with working hours from 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday with overtime as and when requested.
The Technical Clerk plays a key role in supporting operational processes during power station outages, handling extensive paperwork, data entry, and assisting in the management of electronic and hard copy Work Order Cards. The position also involves providing clerical assistance to ensure smooth operations. The responsibilities are outlined as follows:
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and control work processes, including work control, reporting, and maintaining effective filing systems.
* Assist with maintaining a quality control system for the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) function on-site.
* Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
* Support the preparation and monitoring of work lists and plans.
* Assist the NDT Site Manager with processing timesheets, invoices, and managing training records.
* Handle general office duties and administrative support.
* Serve as a liaison between the NDT Engineer, power station staff, contractors, and other structural integrity teams.
* Provide support with other duties as required and undertake special projects as assigned by management.
Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Responsibilities:
* Actively promote and maintain the company's high HSEQ standards.
* Suggest new practices to improve operational efficiency.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
* Ensure a clean, safe office and site environment.
* Participate in both company and client HSEQ initiatives.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting site operations and maintaining high standards in health, safety, and quality
