1801 - Physiotherapy Assistant - Women's Health / Pelvic Health

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to gain experience within the Perinatal and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team as a Band 3 Therapy assistant.
The role will involve providing support and education to postnatal women prior to discharge home, in line with current guidance. You may also be required to assist in the safe discharge of patients following Pelvic Health surgeries or inpatient stay.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for prioritising your daily caseload as guided by the Physiotherapist.
You will highlight patients which may require onward referral to outpatient Physiotherapy and guide other health care professionals to the referral process.
You will provide postnatal patients with advice leaflets and discuss this information with them prior to discharge home.
You may also be required to support Physiotherapists during assessments and treatments within varied settings, such as Physiotherapy Outpatients, Gynaecology Inpatient Ward, Intensive Care and other Inpatient settings.
The successful applicant will have excellent team working skills and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and patients, as well as being able to work alone. Flexibility of working times and practice is essential.
