Job Description
IPS are working with a specialist global (Re)Insurer in their search for an ambitious Catastrophe analyst to join a new and unique unit within the business.
Joining at an exciting time of growth, you will play a key role in providing analytics to help with the planned expansion of this new business unit, working across multiple lines including but not limited to Property and Terrorism. Working closely alongside the Modelling Lead and Underwriting teams, you will also have significant exposure to, and direct communication with, Research & Development teams and external distribution partners, to help enhance the business’ view of risk. Working in a close-knit and collaborative analytics function, this opportunity is well suited to professionals who are excited at the chance to take ownership of the product performance, provide creative analytical solutions and process improvements in a new business unit.
To be considered for this position:
1. Experience using a recognised vendor model (Verisk/AIR preferable but not a requisite).
2. Technical proficiency using coding and programming languages eg; SQL, Python, R is highly advantageous.
3. Comfortable communicating analytics with both technical and non-technical audiences.
