We currently have a temporary position available within Sidney Stringer Academy for an innovative Teacher of Religious Education to be part of the wider Humanities faculty by delivering exemplary RE lessons and raising class attainment and engagement with regards to teaching, learning and assessment.
Job overview
We are looking for a committed Teacher of Religious Education to be a key part of our learners’ Humanities education, by delivering engaging Religious Education lessons in line with the wider curriculum requirements. You’ll have the ability to inspire and understand students’ learning needs, assessing progress in RE along the way with an awareness of how to raise and sustain achievement within the subject.
Job requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
2. Relevant specialist qualifications and subject experience (e.g BA Hons degree)
3. Understanding of curriculum requirements for Religious Education and Humanities
4. Ability to deliver differentiated lessons for different learning styles, ensuring that all pupils can achieve
