Overview
Chambers invites applications for the position of Event Assistant on our Emergency Cover Panel.
Responsibilities include set up and preparation of event spaces, greeting and assisting guests as they arrive and providing support during events, including but not limited to registration, directing attendees, handling inquiries, waiting, ensuring the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the event areas, collaborating with the Event Coordinator and other staff to guarantee the seamless flow of events, assisting with post-event clean-up and set-down.
The nature of this role means that there are no fixed hours or number of days to work per year. Successful applicants will be contacted when there is a need for additional support for large events held at our London office, such as conferences or evening receptions. We endeavour to provide as much notice as possible, and ensure a reasonable number of minimum of hours for each assignment so that the work is worthwhile. We receive good feedback from our Panel workers – they enjoy their time working with us.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be able to work in a busy and demanding environment, and be able to prioritise and be available to work at short notice. Good communication skills and professional presentation are required. Previous experience in hospitality or catering (for example, restaurant, bar or event experience) is essential. Only applicants with an existing right to work in the UK will be considered.

The position is paid at an hourly rate of £13.85 per hour.
