Engineering Surveyor (New Build Materials)
Location: Glasgow - Edinburgh - Central Belt
Salary: £47,000 - £50,000 + Car Allowance of £6,600 + Overtime + 8% pension contribution + Full Surveying Training + Work from Home / Client site + 37.5 hours a week + 25 days holiday + Wellbeing package + Outstanding Career Progression

On offer is the opportunity to perform surveys and assess the design, manufacture, and build aspects of engineering assets against agreed Codes, Standards, specifications, and procedures, using experience and knowledge appropriate for routine solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Performing technical inspections/assessments against defined specifications/scope.
2. Assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for clients.
3. Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to colleagues to build capability, capacity, and support networks for knowledge transfer and application.
4. Contribute to client management as appropriate, by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client and internal relationships and make recommendations based on client feedback to improve Service Delivery and to help build the business.
5. Produce the deliverables (reports/certificates/documents) within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review other employees' work as requested.
6. Discuss/present deliverables to internal/external clients at a senior level and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
7. Follow up training plans, perform activity monitoring/document monitoring, and pursue continuous professional development.
The person:
1. Engineering background with appropriate qualifications in either mechanical engineering, welding, fabrication, or materials with an understanding of codes such as ASME or PED.
