An excitingopportunity has arisen to join the Safeguarding, Cared for Children andLearning Disability Administrative team. We are looking to recruit a capable,helpful and enthusiastic administrator who will be a key player in providingadministration support to the staff within the team. The role will be:
Managing ownworkload, required to act independently deciding when it is necessary to referto their manager.
Liaise withstaff, multi-agency/ external agency representatives, patient/ carer groups, inreceiving or delivering information, meeting invitations, meeting minutes.
Processes avariety of data and administration sources including excel data bases, otherTrust IT systems, Microsoft packages, disseminating and storing a variety ofcommunications in varying formats.
Prepare formalagendas and minutes and timetables for papers for a number of internal meetingsand external where required.
The idealcandidate will have at least 1 years experience in a busy office environmentand have standard computer skills.Excellent organisational skills and effective written and oralcommunication skills are required with the ability to organise workload andprioritise competing demands.

* Possessionof RSA/ NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent level of qualification orrelevant proven experience.
* Advanced keyboard skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team andon own initiative.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality /security, be flexible and adaptable.
* Enthusiasm, initiative and positiveapproach to career and personal development.
The post is based at The Childrens Centre Durham Road Thursday and Friday between 8:30am-5:00pm.
These posts are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

* As part of the administration team, to providecomprehensive confidential administrative support service to all members of thesafeguarding, Cared for Children and Learning Disabilities Team.
* To ensure that systems are standardised to meet theneeds of the organisation.
* To work as part of an administration team insupporting the Safeguarding and Cared for Children admin lead in ensuring all procedures andprocesses are in place.
* To provide effective and comprehensive secretarialand administrative support to the Safeguarding, Cared for Children and LearningDisabilities staff within the teams.
* To deliver a high-quality service, as part of themulti-disciplinary team by undertaking a range of non-clinical tasks.
* To lead on administrative projects.
* Complete relevant documentation in a contemporaneously manner.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* RSA/NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent level of qualification or relevant proven experience.
* Level 2 Numeracy and literacy skills to level 2 or equivalent.
* Knowledge of Hospital V6, Medisec, Emis Information systems.
Other
* To be flexible as cross site cover may be necessary. Locations may include Sunderland Royal Hospital, Childrens Centre and Town Hall.
* Car user.
