Currently, the team is looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join them on a part-time and permanent basis. The OTC strives to be an autonomous centre of excellence, aiming to be the private healthcare provider of choice for Musculoskeletal Outpatient Services, across the Northwest. Working hours: 3.5 days a week through Monday-Friday between 9 am and 5 pm Contract type: Permanent, Part-time, 22.5 hours As SEM Medical Secretary, you will be responsible to provide high-quality administrative support to two consultants in Sports and Exercise Medicine. This role involves managing patient communications, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that the consultants are well-organised in their practice. An essential part of the role includes handling medical correspondence and working efficiently with medical systems like PHF or Bluespier. Duties and responsibilities (not limited to): Manage patient appointments, referrals, and schedule consultations and follow-up visits Prepare, organise, and maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation Compose and send letters to patients and referrers, ensuring clarity and professionalism Serve as the primary contact for patients, delivering a welcoming experience tailored to the needs of patients and sportspeople Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care Transcribe medical notes and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality Use medical software systems, such as PHF or Bluespier, for efficient data management and scheduling Ensure that both consultants have well-coordinated schedules and that their organisational needs are proactively managed. Use spire systems such as Consultant App, Cyberlab and Vue Motion Who we are looking for: Proven experience as a Medical Secretary, preferably in a sports or musculoskeletal healthcare setting Proficiency in medical systems such as PHF or Bluespier (or equivalent) Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage complex schedules Experience in handling medical correspondence for patients and referrers.
