Embedded Software Engineer | £35 - 55k | Reading | Hybrid My client is a leading scientific instrumentation company in their niche providing high precision instruments for clients from governments to small research companies. Due to sustained growth, they’re looking for an Electronic Engineer who has a passion for engineering and enjoys designing & building their own personal projects. There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow into a different discipline across software, electronic, and mechanical engineering, with full training provided. Main duties: Writing, testing and debugging embedded software Designing electronic circuits and PCBs Developing in-house electronic and software solutions for testing and analysing instrumentation in the manufacturing process Skills and Experience Required: Degree in Electronic/Computer/Mechanical Engineering, or Physics Hands on experience of embedded systems (Arduino, ARM, Raspberry Pi) Experience or knowledge of electronic circuit & schematic design Completed own personal projects from concept to implementation, and ability to talk about them in depth Bonus: Knowledge of embedded C/C++, and Qt development in both Windows & Linux Enthusiasm for engineering that spans multiple disciplines What you’ll get: £35k-55k Opportunities for progression into a wide range of engineering roles with full training Hybrid work scheme If you feel like you have the right skills and experience for this role, then please apply with a copy of your updated CV.
