Equifind have teamed up with one of our investment clients to recruit an audit manager to work from their London office for the next three to six months.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with a background in audit to join the team and manage the year-end audit cycle.
The candidate will be the point of contact with the audit teams in multiple areas and be responsible for delivering financial statements and support to the agreed timetable and managing the sign-off process for each entity.

Key deliverables for this audit manager position include:
1. Lead the audit process and prepare proposed internal audit plans based on the results of the risk analysis.
2. Exercise individual judgement and initiative in selecting emphasis for coverage within an audit and determining and locating sources of information.
3. Perform audit work and supervise the performance of work by the team, including reviewing work papers, documenting control weaknesses or inefficiencies, and handling the completion of the audit within the given timeframe.
4. Prepare audit results and conduct relevant meetings to obtain management responses.
5. Work on audit reports and clear those reports with auditees prior to issuance.
6. Prepare a full review and enhancement of current statutory accounts.
7. Perform follow-up on previously identified audit findings and management's action plans.
8. Ad hoc work as requested by the CFO.
The Business:
An international investment firm headquartered in London with operations across multiple countries.
You will join a growing medium-sized finance team and have full ownership of this audit project, reporting directly to the CFO. You'll be the main person for the audit and be tasked with managing the year-end audit.
The role is hybrid, and you will be expected to be in the office three days per week, with occasional travel required to other offices every few weeks.
Background and experience:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA) with a minimum of 1-year PQE.
2. Understanding of financial accounting controls, with an ability to critically evaluate them within an SME environment.
3. Have a solid understanding of accounting procedures; IFRS, US GAAP, and UK GAAP being beneficial.
4. Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks, such as AIFMD/FATCA.
5. Experience in internal audit, including acting as a supervisor with a strong background in controls and compliance procedures.
6. Previous experience of working within the investment sector.
Salary/rate:
This role will be paying in the region of £350-£500 per day, depending on your industry experience.
This role is to start ASAP, but we will look at candidates on 2 weeks' notice if you tick every box.
