Robert Walters are excited to be representing an industry leading fashion brand based in Manchester City Centre who are looking to appoint an ambitious and astute Tax Accountant into their team.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver a range of tax compliance and advisory services across all taxes, including preparation of UK Corporation Tax and VAT returns.

What you'll do:
* Prepare annual Corporation Tax returns using tax software (OneSource) and related transfer pricing / BEPS documentation.
* Oversee the preparation of overseas Corporation Tax and VAT returns prepared by external advisors.
* Complete current and deferred tax charge calculations and related year-end tax disclosures for the group’s financial statements.
* Prepare Group VAT returns, incorporating calculations aligned to Retail Scheme, Partial Exemption and VAT Bad Debt Relief methodologies.
* Complete period end processes and monthly reporting for Tax, including VAT calculations, balance sheet reconciliations and tracking progress on external tax engagements.
* Critically review existing tax processes, adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
* Maintain accurate tax cash flow forecasting and assist in preparation of tax forecasts and budgets for FP&A colleagues.
* Liaison with HMRC, statutory auditors and external advisors with support from the Head of Tax & Shared Services.
What you bring:
* Experience with business tax compliance, including preparation of Corporation Tax and VAT returns.
* Fully Qualified Accountant.
* Knowledge of relevant Corporation Tax and VAT issues, with particular experience of external audit requirements.
* Excellent data management and processing skills.
* The desire to build relationships, learn and develop.
