The Role
We are looking for a Performance Controller who acts as a Business Partner for our business in UK & Ireland. Our motivated and focused Controllers at RWE Renewables Europe & Australia are working in 9 countries across Europe providing financial services for numerous operational assets as well as projects under development and construction. Responsibilities
1. Supporting our growth ambitions for Onshore, Solar and Storage in the UK & Ireland during the development and construction phase by Setting up, interpreting and analysing steering relevant financial and operational KPIs and presenting the results in a suitable way to the managementTaking the responsibility for business planning and forecasting including deviation analyses and the preparation of a comprehensive storyline towards the stakeholderRegularly reporting the operational business performance and conducting ad-hoc analysesActing as a financial business partner to support and challenge the business, identify best in class solutions and trends to safeguard the success of our growth ambitions.
2. Maintaining and strengthening good working relationships with internal counterparties within Renewables and the wider RWE group (operational teams, accounting, tax, legal, finance)
3. Developing and continuously improving planning and controlling tools especially with a focus on automisation and digitalisation
4. Implementing and refining structures and processes that ensure an efficient way of working for all involved stakeholders, following the one of our principles “work smarter, not harder”
Requirements
5. Excellent university degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
6. Proven experience in a controlling / subsidiary management / finance area
7. A profound knowledge and understanding about the European energy market and related regulations, especially in UK & Ireland is desirable
8. Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and present it in a clear and logical format
9. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills to establish and foster effective working relationships in a cross-cultural environment
10. Highly reliable and flexible team-player with a good self-organisation and a strong commitment
11. Good skills in SAP (FI/CO/BI) and MS Office
12. Familiarity with IFRS; UK and Irish GAAP is a plus
13. Fluent in English
