Job Role: Quality Controller
Rate of Pay:
* £12.69 per hour for the first 40 hours
* £15.86 per hour for hours worked beyond 40
Working Week:
* Contracted for 5 days per week (may increase to 6 days during busy periods)
* Contract hours based between 50 - 50 Hours per week.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect fresh produce upon arrival, during production, and prior to dispatch.
* Perform necessary Quality inspection tests and Brix testing, using appropriate equipment and accurately record the results.
* Verify the accuracy of product labels in accordance with specifications.
* Complete all necessary documentation in compliance with relevant requirements.
* Maintain excellent hygiene standards.
* Engage in repetitive manual handling of products (up to 18kg).
* Monitor the performance of Production Operatives, offering training, support, and constructive feedback to enhance productivity.
Key Skills:
* Prior experience in a fresh produce environment is essential.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
* Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
* Basic understanding of stock control systems.
