The Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting is responsible for overseeing all financial accounting and reporting activities within the public sector organisation. Duties include:
* Leading and managing the financial accounting team
* Preparing financial statements and reports
* Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
* Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
* Managing budgeting and forecasting processes
* Providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
* Collaborating with internal and external auditors
Required Qualifications:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
* Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
