A new opportunity for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join a leading business based in Crawley.
Job Description
1. Answering queries as arising by phone and E-mail
2. Assisting with the administration of other Payroll functions as required
3. Assisting with the running of monthly payrolls
4. Calculating adjustments required, including pro-rata calculations
5. Checking calculations and input of other team members
6. Completing NLW and NMW checks
7. Completing end of period payroll reporting for review by the payroll manager
8. Ensuring all statutory payments to staff are made correctly
9. Liaise with People Team, staff, and local office Partners on payroll matters
10. Processing company benefits reports
11. Processing flexible working amendments
12. Processing staff starting and returning from maternity/shared parental leave in accordance with firm's policies
13. Producing maternity payment schedule for staff starting maternity leave
14. Updating sickness including SSP calculations
The Successful Applicant
1. A minimum of two years payroll experience (either in-house or with an accountancy practice)
2. Familiarity with MS Office
3. Good communication skills both written and verbal
4. Team player
