The successful candidate will assist with a wide variety of tasks, from daily payment processing requirements to assisting with the active management of the group’s cash and liquidity position, for both corporate and trustee balances in line with Treasury policy.
The successful applicant will:
1. have at least 2-3 years working within treasury/financial services
2. have an accounting/finance qualification (or equivalent)
3. understand banking and possess appropriate knowledge of the regulatory environment
4. demonstrate experience of relevant risk and banking governance, including compliance and business control aspects
5. understand self-invested personal pensions/small self-administered schemes (SIPP/SSAS) or pension banking with a strong aptitude in investments and wealth management
6. possess knowledge/experience of working in a corporate treasury environment
7. have experience in building and owning financial models
8. demonstrate an analytical approach to their work, proactively identifying and addressing issues
9. have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both verbally and in writing at all levels
10. exhibit numeracy with good IT skills, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
MORE ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Treasury Associate will be a key component of the newly created Treasury team.
The successful candidate will assist with a wide variety of tasks, from daily payment processing requirements to assisting with the development and active management of the group’s cash and liquidity position, for both corporate and trustee balances in line with Treasury policy.
The day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. working with the Treasury colleagues across all aspects of daily Group cash and liquidity monitoring, forecasting, and reporting requirements, including liquidity management strategies
2. contributing to multiple cash workstreams, including development and ownership of processes and related reporting as required
3. bank account management including administration of users and management and optimisation of Mattioli Woods’ account structure
4. working with Treasury colleagues to process, review and authorise corporate and trustee related banking payments, to ensure delivery of a seamless client service
5. managing new client requirements, analysing utilisation trends, and proactively driving remedial or improvement actions
6. championing the team’s risk management culture, ensuring procedures are fit for purpose, are documented and applied, and related controls are suitable and effective
7. managing stakeholder relationships from both an internal and external perspective
