A growing business in central Guildford is looking for an Assistant Accountant for a 12-month maternity contract. This role is to support the finance team in the processing of the day-to-day finance function while supporting the wider business.
Main duties include:
* Ownership of maintaining bank reconciliations daily
* Balance sheet overall monthly process
* Key Finance contact including:
* Month end journals
* Deferred revenue
* Accruals
* Bad debt provision
* ARR reporting
* Ensuring billing is correct for new customers and any changes to existing customers
* Support with the maintenance of the Accounts inbox to ensure customer queries are responded to and resolved on a timely basis
* Audit support and request completion
* Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all owned processes
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience with bank reconciling/matching
* Invoice and credit note generation experience
Key desirable skills:
* Xero
* NetSuite
* GoCardless
* Stripe
* Online banking
* Thrived in a fast-paced environment
* Enjoy making an impact by improving processes
* NetSuite – highly desirable
* Strong Excel skills
* A team player
